9:43 P.M.
Checkpoint 22; a stretch of highway fenced off from the surrounding world, it leads to San Pelinegro, then beyond to the rest of the world. The closest city to Ravens Crown, Lawson Texas, only five miles away from Ravens Crown. According to officials, Lawson had taken the highest priority to protecting the city, just in case something was to happen. . .
"Hot drop landing, let them not see what's about to come to them," Keto stood at the back of the helicopter, Dead Sight itself stood beside him centered with the helicopters weight; the rear door opened ajar. Free fall, demolish the checkpoint."
Dead Sight jumped.
---
The City lights flickered on, all city grids flickered to life. Power pulsed through buildings still connected to their source. The emergency broadcast system began to play, "Good Evening ladies and gentleman, I am your host, David Keto, and I will be presenting you with important information! You're all fucked!"
---
The militant units of the Checkpoint were no match for Dead Sight as it's chain gun ripped and tore through the crowds. Try as they might, nothing could damage the tyrant. Dead Sight made the units look like a joke as he continued to advance blasting rounds through the crowd until his weapon finally overheated and melted the barrels.
It then knelt down and drew it's blade then rushed forward grabbing a lone M4 carbine as it moved.
---
"We are bad bad people, we know, but we're helping 'you' the people out now! We're opening up Checkpoint 22! That's right boys and girls! Free at last! Free at last!"
---
A last final unit was fighting their way to retreat, with all failing its members got picked off one at a time. When the final member fell it was time for Dead Sight to activate new protocol. From its hip pouch the tyrant began to remove satchel upon satchel of explosive charges, enough to level a building if need be. It began to set them around the area along the fence.
Once out of range, a thunderous explosion cried out through the air. The Fence had fallen. Dead Sight was now in retreat.
---
"Do you hear that!? Freedom!"

Kennith heard a large amount of yelling and was moving to investigate what was going on. He had managed to brush off the various dust and what not he had from barely escaping the sewers awhile ago, and he was eager to find a way out as soon as possible. The explosion made him jump and he took off even faster, unslinging his Sig-556 and getting ready for any sort of chaos. What he saw was people flooding what he heard was the Fence, that kept everyone in, had fallen. He grabbed a guy and pratically yelled to get his message through.
"Hey man! WHATS GOING ON?!?"
He yelled back, with a merry tone and clapped him on the back. Aparently, he didn't mind that he was being yelled at by a stranger with a rifle, too happy about the events going down.
"WERE FREE, FINALLY FREE!!!"
He broke free and took off to escape, while leaving Kenny dumbfounded. He had barely escaped the ambush that killed those who had saved his rear before, and now they were already free? Something seemed too good to be true, and it wasn't that he was paranoid. But he didn't worry too much, if he could escape the dead he was all good with that, and trailed the crowd to Checkpoint 22 to see if they were really free now. He kept his rifle pointed down, one of the few gun safty laws he still followed, in case he ran into another survivor, and kept a safe distance. He wished with all his might that it was true, and nothing would go wrong now.

Kazemitsu sighed silently as he examined his surroundings. A decrepit gas station containing little, if anything of worth. Even in a zombie apocalypse people looted. How stupid of them. The food was a necessity along with the beverages. But he had seen even unimportant items such as money, televisions, and other things that generally are expensive taken. Were people stupid? Or did they plan on smashing a zombie or monster with their new found prize. He snorted before opening the door to the place to get out of the silent building.
As soon as he did he heard it. The explosion Dead Sight had created at the fence, but he didn't know that, and neither did anyone else. When he heard a person shout about freedom he smacked his own forehead and dragged his hand down his face in exasperation. Did the people even get why they were being held here?! It was so the rest of the world doesn't have to deal with the zombies and monstrosities. But no, humans think about themselves first and everything else later. "I'd better follow the crowd....they probably have no training in combat and will most likely panic at the sight of one friggin zombie..." He mumbled to himself as he darted off, combat knife and a butchers cleaver he had found in hand.
Surprisingly there was a crowd. Instead of everyone just running they should have gone in small flocks. A big crowd probably draws big creatures that will call them lunch. Hopefully one does come along to eat these idiots. But hopefully Kaze won't be in the crowd at that time. He barely breathed as he darted between objects between him and the exit to the new 'exit' Dead Sight had made. What had happened to checkpoint 22? Did they just blow their fence for the fun of it? He didn't know nor did he care.
As he ran he noticed that some civilians were carrying items from home. Many were unimportant. But he did see a man carrying a gun, looked like a Sig-556 to him but he couldn't be sure since he was to far away to get a look at its details.
